JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Director (CD) is responsible for overseeing and managing the therapeutic needs of all clients being served at ABS. This person is responsible for providing leadership and management by overseeing our clinical services across all locations and the long-term growth of the company's clinical programming. The CD also analyzes data collected by RBTs and BCBAs to determine if the interventions they created are effective in creating the desired behavior change for the client. If they are not, the CD must meet with and provide further training to BCBA(s) to ensure effective treatment.

This person must have strong clinical experience and perspective on Applied Behavior Analysis and how it relates to individuals with Autism. The CD must also have experience managing other BCBAs with some training in organizational and behavior management. The CD is a high-level executive administrator that is a member of the ABS leadership team and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Clinical Duties for this position include–30%

  • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload, involving direct assessment, supervision and treatment of clients at no more than 15 billable hours per week.
  • Assist with conducting staff and caregiver training.
  • Complete and submit documentation in a timely manner
  • When necessary, interface with insurance companies on behalf of ABS to advocate for services for clients.
  • Regularly reference behavior analytic literature and attend relevant conferences and workshops in order to best inform evidence-based treatment.
  • Ensure delivery of clinical practices in accordance with the credentialing requirements of insurance providers
  • Promote a therapeutic environment for all clients, ensuring client input is fully considered when developing and carrying out treatment plans.
  • Problem solve issues with supervisees when insufficient progress toward client goals/outcomes is observed via a review of relevant behavioral data.

Managerial Duties for this position include–60%

  • Provide clinical management and oversight to companies BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs.
  • Conduct monthly 1:1s with all BCBAs and BCaBAs.
  • Conduct bi annual check ins with all RBTs.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for all BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues with integrity, either individually or with the assistance of Human Resources
  • Train excellent Behavior Analysts from the ground up, including the clinical, organizational, and soft skills needed to excel in the role.
  • Ensures Assessment Process for In-home and Center based clients is thorough
  • Assists with review of treatment plans and re-assessments.
  • Oversee all clinical services being provided in-home, center(s), and community settings

Administrative Duties for this position include-10%

  • Assist with bi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with administrative team
  • Lead Monthly Team Meetings with BCBAs
  • Participate actively in the hiring process of RBTs, BCBAs, and BCaBAs.
  • Communicate with ABS administrative teams including Finance, Billing, HR, Training, and IT as needed.
  • Oversee and maintain curriculum for RBT’s in the BCBA Mentorship program

Logistical Requirements

  • Must hold a BCBA Certification for 5+ years
  • 2+ years of experience serving in a leadership/management role for an ABA provider
  • 5+ years experience in a supervisory role in an ABA agency
  • An active state license
  • Masters or better in Psychology or related field
  • Experience working with multiple funding sources
  • A passion for helping children, a positive attitude, and dedication to clinical integrity are critical.
  • A proven history of working in a clinical setting serving people with developmental disabilities
  • ABA experience in both clinical and home settings
  • Willingness to provide supervision for students pursuing BCBA certification
  • Collaborate with a team of fellow BCBAs and clinical leadership.
  • Proficiency with ABA Data Collection and Practice Management systems such as Central Reach, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Monday.com
  • Reliable transportation & valid car insurance required.
  • Fluency in English required, bilingual preferred

  • Flexible schedule, but must be able to work irregular hours when necessary
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position, to include lifting of clients, packages, or equipment and utilizing physical management techniques when necessary
  • Able to pass criminal background check
